Whoever said it was hot in Nevada, they weren't joking. Jayden does not do well in heat, and let me tell you, she was conviced that she was melting. Addie didn't know what to think about the drastic change in temperature, she was stunned. Lilah was never happier to get back in her air conditioned car seat. Sunday, October 25, 2009

I know, I know. I have been neglectful of our blog all summer long. Despite the lack of updates, we did a lot this summer and I would like to bring you up to date. After my babies had their 1st and 3rd birthdays, we went on a road trip with Kurt back to Arizona. Along the way, we stopped in Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon to take in some sight seeing. Our journey begins in Vegas, so enjoy!

Back in Time

Doesn't every girl enjoy feeling the wind through their hair?
Could her eyes get anymore blue??
During our time in Arizona, Kurt took us to a Pinnacle Peak. It's an "Old West" place where they have an old west set of stores and a place to eat BBQ, along with a train ride around the perimeter. They also had a show with actors that played out a bank robbery skit. Addie did not like it! They had real guns with blanks and they wrestled and hit one another and all Addie did was cry and say, "I don't want them to do that!" Lilah on the other hand loved it. She squeeled and bounced up and down on Kurt's knee. It was pretty funny. These are pictures of our train ride...you gotta love those self pics! And yes, that is a huge mustache on Kurt's face.
Fun At The Fair

Addie, Lilah and I were able to visit Kurt in Arizona and one of the fun things we did was we went to the fair! Let me tell you, you they do it right in Arizona. The fair is huge, the rides are good, and the carnies are clean! They even had real elephants that the girls and Kurt rode on. You can see that Lilah was exhausted with all of the action. We had a really good time!

With Wheels Comes Freedom
Addie loves her bike. When it's nice out, she asks me if she can ride her motorcycle. The only problem is that she hasn't quite figured out how to pedal and be in control of her direction at the same time. She got frustrated with mommy trying to help her so she got off and sweetly told me that she wanted daddy and Jayden to show her. Sunday, April 5, 2009
My Sweet One

Oh, Lilah. What baby could be more wonderful? Lilah is growing so fast, it makes my heart ache. She is crawling, babbling, clapping, eating real food, laughing, bobbing her head to music and so much more. When I check on her before I go to bed, she makes it tempting to crawl in her crib and snuggle next to her. She wakes in the morning ready for the day. I find her talking and playing in her crib while she waits for me and as soon as she sees me, an open mouth grin crosses her face and she can't stop flapping her arms and kicking her feet because of her excitement! As soon as I pick her up, she gives me an unmistakable hug; both arms around my neck and her face buried in my shoulder... Lilah, you make me so happy.

Skiing!

This month, my parents took us to McCall and put Jayden in her first skiing lesson! She had never been before, and she did so great. Addie and Lilah were too little, so I stayed with them while everybody busted a move on the mountain... For Kurt that is literal because at one point he was rolling down the mountain and couldn't stop as his skis and poles were flying everywhere. What can I say, the guy likes to take chances.
